Ireland is a historical jewel, with castles, houses and monuments, some even older than the Pyramids.  Everywhere you go, you’ll find spectacular scenery – from the Cliffs of Moher to the Fermanagh lakes, from the glories of West Cork to the beauty spot of the Sally Gap.

Cities and downs abound with theater, from the Abbey in Dublin to the Market Place in County Armagh.  Music follows you.  Everything from dance music to traditional Irish beats transport you to another world.

The High School Program

Ninety percent of all Irish children take part in secondary education and 50% go on to the university.  Many changes and improvements  made to the educational system in recent years have created greater access and flexibility for all students.

The secondary school system includes public secondary schools, vocational schools, community or comprehensive schools, and private secondary schools.  The majority of Irish children go to public secondary schools, which are privately owned and managed and are often run by religious orders, although the teachers in these schools are generally lay staff.  The majority of secondary schools are free, but there are fee-paying schools as well.
