Finding host families to host our great kids depends on getting the word out in your community. On this page you can have access to several posters and flyers that you can print out and post in many public places.
Here are some ideas of places where you might want to post your publicity items: public libraries, supermarkets, churches, bowling centers, movie theaters, town halls, indoor swimming clubs, sports clubs. Be sure to ask for permission to post your flyers and follow their regulations about how long to leave them up.
HOST FAMILY POSTER: Print this out in either color or black and white. There is a space on the "tear-off" tabs for you to add personal contact information. You can use a mailing-label type sticker or just write in your information by hand. It's a good idea to cut the tabs so it is easy for someone to tear it off and leave the others intact.
STUDY ABROAD POSTER: We want to promote opportunities for American students to study abroad for a semester or a year. Students who inquire about this might also give you a good contact to a potential host family. We do offer some discounts on outbound fees if families will host. Ask schools if you can put these up on student information bulletin boards. Ask school guidance counselors to post them too. It's a good idea to cut the tabs so it is easy for someone to tear it off and leave the others intact.
COORDINATOR POSTER: Build up your own network of coordinators by recruiting new people to work with us. If you have contacts in schools or towns outside the 120 mile limit, place these posters in those communities to find new coordinators you can work with to increase our presence. Feel free to mail the posters to friends far way to post .. we can use coordinators in any cities and states!
